WE-Data is currently hiring “Service Desk Specialist” with the below qualifications:
Job brief:
•We are looking for a qualified Computers and IT infrastructure support Engineer to install, maintain and repair computers and OS and other IT devices.
•You will be the one to ensure that adequate IT infrastructure is in place and is used to its maximum capabilities.
•As a computer engineer you must be well-versed in computer systems and network functions. The ideal candidate will be able to work diligently and accurately and will possess a great problem-solving ability in order to fix issues and ensure functionality.
•The goal is to install and maintain high quality IT Services and computer systems.
Responsibilities:
•Setting up hardware and installing OS and configure software and drivers
•Maintaining and repairing technological equipment (e.g. Desktop, Laptop, Printers) or peripheral devices
•Troubleshooting and diagnose problems of company’s employees
•Installing well-functioning IT devices and other networks devices and manage and monitor components (servers, IPs etc.)
•Manage security options and software in computers and networks to maintain privacy and protection from attacks and abuse
•Perform regular upgrades to ensure systems remain updated
•Troubleshoot system failures or bugs and provide solutions to restore functionality
•Keep records of repairs and fixes for future reference on IT Service Management system
•Offer timely technical support and teach users how to utilize computers correctly
Requirements and skills:
•Experience as computer engineer or similar role for 6 months at least
•Thorough knowledge of computer systems and its components
•Good knowledge of IT devices, services, and systems
•Excellent troubleshooting skills
•Very good communication abilities and customer orientation
•Exceptional organizing and time-management skills
•Good knowledge of LAN/WAN networks
•Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
•BSc/BA in Computer Science or engineering
