“Senior Purchasing Manager “is required for is required for an international tire trading company located in Alexandria.
Responsibilities:
• Observing tire industries news, raw materials’ market trend, suppliers’ news release and their financial statement, export statistics, competitors’ information to identify the future opportunities and risks.
• Planning all purchasing activities that create economic value for sustainable growth of the company while flexibly adapting to changes in the business environment.
• Placing purchase orders with appropriate quantities at the best price and at the right time for ongoing sales activities.
• Strongly negotiating with suppliers on several points such as purchasing price, payment terms, ocean freight, annual rebate, annual marketing budget, sales promotion for the company’s best interest.
• Ensuring transparent and sharp communication internally and externally.
• Maintaining excellent business relationship with current suppliers through proper business communication with them both online and offline.
• Attending / organizing the business meeting with suppliers to solve problems, report our business status, negotiate with senior level presentations.
• Ensuring to secure the best freight rates and services for all shipments to minimize shipping costs and trouble.
• Achieving the company’s inventory policy by closely involving daily sales and purchasing activities and taking correct actions in advance before problems occur.
• Effectively analyze sales and purchasing data for gaining new insights and reflect it to the future purchasing action and negotiation.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a similar field
• Excellent command of spoken and written English is a must.
• 5-8 years’ experience working in automotive or tire industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application software, purchasing, and resource planning systems.
