Senior Oracle Database Consultant is needed to be hired
in an IT & Software Technology company in Alexandria
Job duties:
– Set up, configure and maintain the environments according to best practices and customer requirements
– Keep the systems’ software up to date (new release updates) in order to provide new functions, adapting bug fixes and security features, aligned with customer policies
– Support application and other teams with regular reports, setup of their DBs and connections, and investigations in case of issues or performance lags
– Manage all LifeCycle/EOL activities including application teams support and project management
– Design, implement and document DB backup and recovery strategy
– Perform Migration of DB to same version DB/Platform, setting up new clusters
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Communications Engineering or equivalent
– 5+ years of work experience is required in Oracle Database Administration
– Work experience with Oracle database version 11g/12c/19c
– Experience with AWS EC2, Simple Storage Service (S3), Identity & Access Management (IAM), Virtual Private Cloud (VPC)
– Experience with AWS tools – DMS, Cloud watch, SNS, AWS CLI, AWS Billing Console and the AWS Management Console
– Experience with administration of RDS instances at AWS
– Experience with RAC/Database/client/agent installation
– Strong Performance tuning experience, understanding of database statistics, Locks & Blocking sessions, AWR report analysis, Server resource monitoring etc.
– Experience with Oracle Dataguard installation and administration.
– Specialized in Oracle RAC (including ASM configuration and management), understanding of RAC architecture across servers, OS, network, storage layer
– Experience with upgrade and patching activities of Grid Infrastructure & RDBMS
– RMAN tool and hands-on experience of Oracle database’s backup recovery options is needed
– Oracle database migration experience activities is required
– Experience with OEM 13.5 and above for patching/upgrading
– Experience with Oracle Multitenant Environment administration & maintenance
– Hands-on experience with shell scripting and automation.
– Very good English command
