Dar Al-Handasah Consultants is seeking to recruit a Group Leader to join the Planning & Urban Design department in Cairo office.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning or Architecture
Master’s degree in Urban Design / Planning from an international university is a must.
Minimum 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience in a multi-disciplinary design environment and in working on large and complex urban planning and master planning projects
An excellent knowledge of current Urban Design, Master Planning best practices and Sustainable Development
A thorough knowledge of the design and planning process and the role of all necessary disciplines within project team
Previous work experience in the Gulf States and Middle East is preferable.
Having strong sketching ability would be an advantage
Proven excellent design skills
Presentation skills and client facing
Computational design knowledge is a plus
Excellent planning and presentation skills, initiative, motivation, and team working skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent command of the English language
