Job Description
The Accounts Receivables Senior Specialist will play a crucial role in managing the company’s receivables process efficiently and accurately. In addition, will be responsible for overseeing the collection of outstanding debts, maintaining accurate records, and providing critical insights to the finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and manage the accounts receivables ledger.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of customer invoices.
• Review and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Contact customers to follow up on outstanding payments.
• Implement effective debt collection strategies to reduce delinquency rates.
• Negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers when necessary.
• Prepare regular reports on accounts receivables status, aging, and collection efforts.
• Analyze receivables data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with merchants to facilitate the payment process.
• Address merchant inquiries regarding invoices and payments.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and improve the accounts receivables process.
• Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and legal requirements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts receivables transactions.
• Collaborate with the finance team, sales team, and other departments to resolve payment-related issues.
• Provide insights and recommendations for improving receivables performance.
Job Requirements:
• Must-have Fintech or E-commerce experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Experience with popular accounting software packages such as QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle Financials, or similar platforms used for accounts receivables management.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the ability to use functions, create pivot tables, and utilize other advanced features for data analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems commonly used in financial services companies for managing accounting processes.
• Experience with credit management software for assessing customer creditworthiness, establishing credit limits, and monitoring credit risk.
• Familiarity with electronic payment platforms and tools used for processing customer payments, such as online payment gateways and e-commerce payment systems.
• Understanding of banking systems and payment processing procedures, including knowledge of Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) and Automated Clearing House (ACH) processes.
• Understanding of relevant financial regulations, compliance requirements, and reporting standards specific to the financial services industry in Egypt.
• Experience with document management systems for maintaining accurate records and documentation related to accounts receivables transactions.
• Knowledge of taxation principles and Value Added Tax (VAT) regulations applicable to financial transactions in Egypt.
• Understanding of foreign exchange transactions and the impact on accounts receivable for companies engaged in international business.
• Familiarity with automated collections systems that help streamline the collection process and reduce delinquency rates.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent command in written and spoken English language.
