Main Job Duties & Responsibilities:

We want to hire a trained laboratory specialist/technician to join our thriving Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Science academic team at our Egyptian Branch Campus hosted by Global Academic Foundation. This is an exciting opportunity for you to join the academic staff at the UH Egyptian Branch Campus as a full-time contract. This is a unique experience that offers variety, opportunity, and a fast pace. To get the most from this position, you as a laboratory specialist/technician should be able to work in Chemistry/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology labs. You should have experience in the analysis and preparation of chemicals for practical sessions. What’s important is that you can work in a complex environment and that you are able to work on multiple tasks at the same time.

We work with some of the following instruments: melting point, UV-Vis spectrophotometer, HPLC, ELISA plate reader, colony counter, and a wide variety of pharmaceutical machinery. You will be contributing to the preparation of practical sessions and standardizing the procedure, therefore you should be able to apply standard calculations and solve practical issues.

Key Responsibilities:
In this job, you’ll set up the experiments to deliver practical sessions for Pharmaceutical Science and MPharm students. All chemicals, solutions, glassware as well as instruments for a particular session should be prepared and ready for students’ use prior to the practical session. You’ll have the opportunity to assist the students with their practical skills during the laboratory and to facilitate the assessment and examination procedures.

Experience and Qualifications:
· Bachelor of Science (Chemistry/Biochemistry/Microbiology).
· At least 2 years of experience in a similar field.
· Good communication and problem-solving skills.
· Decision-making skills.
· Good command of English language (speaking, reading, and writing).
· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
· Working in a previous academic institution is preferred.
